CND Shellac EA Tracey McCreadie - Ayr
After working for seven years in banking I took a career break to look after my children, finding childcare for four children under five years old was not easy! During this time I thought carefully about what I really wanted to do and decided to train in something completely new which would allow my own business giving me freedom to work around the children. One of my friends “got her nails done” regularly and I loved how glamorous they made her look. So I thought, this could be my new challenge. Initially I trained with another nail company but I was continually striving for more education and better products, which led me to CND at The Fingertips Centre and Miss Fee Wallace, my educator and mentor. What really inspired me was her passion for the industry, continual education and wealth of knowledge so I thrived on attending different courses whilst advancing my nail skills and gaining my CND Masters was one of my biggest achievements. My Dad always told me “If a job is worth doing its worth doing right” and I knew I was now in the right place. Even my friend who had been my model from the beginning of my journey was impressed!
I started my own mobile nail business but I had this love for education and at that time I thought the only route in education would be teaching in local colleges. For this I needed to complete my HND in Beauty Therapy so I enrolled with the vision that this would lead me to become a lecturer one day. During this time, I was nominated for a Sweet Squared Award at the Event and this was where Shellac was first launched in the UK. Meeting the Sweets, Gigi Rouse and the other CND Education Ambassadors confirmed this was what I really wanted to do.
With my children now teenagers, Shellac became my new baby! I instantly fell in love with it and it transformed my nail business overnight. This fantastic new power polish literally opened the door to teaching when I was invited to CND Bootcamp to become a Shellac Education Ambassador. Life really does begin at 40! I was completely blown away with the whole experience but the highlight was meeting CNDs Co-founder Jan Arnold when she presented me with an award. I can honestly say I have complete faith in CND from their education programme to their range of products and I am so proud to represent them and be part of the CND ‘family’. I have real passion for what I do and hope I can use this to motivate others. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends…although I never really switch off, they all love Shellac too!
