My enthusiasm in nails started in 1999!!  I always did my own and my mum’s nails and she saw my passion for it and thought it would be something I could do whilst finishing collage - little did she know. . .

My Mum paid for me to attend a beginner’s course at Ellisons that summer - best money she ever spent, and not long after I went to have my nails done as a treat for me.  I wanted to see how the “professionals” did it and to see how a nail salon worked.  The nail tech that applied my nails used CND and I couldn’t work out why her products worked so well and looked so natural.  She advised me to go on a Conversion course with Creative and I did!!  Again - best money I ever spent.

Marco Benito became my mentor (unbeknown to him), I’d always request to go to his classes and he taught in a way that I could understand; I had that ‘Ah Ha’ moment every time I went to a class.  I loved the classes so much I wanted to learn more.  Eventually ‘Venus Nails’ - one of the busiest nail salons in Leicester became my new home and I worked there with partner in crime Naomi.  I learnt a lot about business and working with the public and later went self employed; I wanted the freedom to do what I wanted and to grow as a nail tech; I was loving it.

In 2004 I entered a competition held by Saks Hair & Beauty and although I didn’t win (I didn’t even come in the top three) but it inspired me with more determination to do a better job with my nail skills.  So I began my CND Master Classes and went on to complete my Grand Masters.

I started my own salon in 2005, ‘Genesis’ which was a great achievement for me and with the support of my friends and family ‘Genesis’ continues to have a loyal client base and a great reputation for service and nail enhancements with a difference.
During my last class with Marco he mentioned that he thought I would make a good CND Education Ambassador.  Ultimately I wanted to teach people like I was taught, with passion, understanding and patience.  I took his advice, stalked Samantha Sweet for 2 years and attended CND Bootcamp in 2008.
My proudest moment so far was when I received a “You Make a Difference Badge” at Bootcamp for being the most PASSIONATE; I was truly honoured.

I love CND because all their products are super reliable and with great training and education you always get top results plus, there is always a definite answer to every question.  CND helped me understand the science behind their products; their coatings are beautiful to wear, beautiful and easy to work with and the people behind the product and distribution are wonderful and dedicated.
My music taste is very eclectic.  I have grown up with all types of music being from a mixed background and I love Berris Hammond, Black Eyed Peas, N.E.R.D, Justin Timberlake, Kate Nash and funky house music.  I also love gospel music, reggae and the Blues - I just need to get them all on to my IPod.

My favourite film would now have to be ‘Sex & the City’!  I am addicted and could happily watch it over and over and over again. . . .I know. . . .I’m sad !

My Favourite food:  All sorts!  I’m very blessed to have a mother who can cook all cultural dishes so I have eaten all types of food as a child.  I personally like anything with a bit of spice, I love pasta, rice and fish but my favourite meal would have to be Thai Prawn Curry.

Most amazing place I have been to so far in my life would have to be Jamaica – it’s wonderful and I can’t wait to go back.

Before I kick the bucket I would love to travel to New York and Cancun and spend my whole time in New York doing a different exciting activity every day!!  In Cancun I want to spend the whole time doing absolutely nothing!

Favourite quote (everyone knows me for this and they all call me a geek) but it’s to always have a Positive Mental Attitude - if you have that you can’t go far wrong.
