Sweet Squared

For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be involved in the “Beauty Industry”.  I qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 1987 and subsequently worked at a Health Farm, worked mobile, taught in College and had my own salon (not necessarily in that order!)   I trained in nails in 1993 learning 2 systems in 2 days!!!   Never feeling like I was getting the results I wanted for myself or that my clients deserved (no wonder), I was always on the lookout for a different product to use - until I found CND!  It was so much easier than anything I’d tried before and then I became hooked on their training, always hungry for more.

This persistent inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge, as well as my friendly, confident, daft, easy going but professional nature lead me to Bootcamp in 2000 where I won Best Presentation and earned my position as CND Education Ambassador for the North East!  A year later, I was presented with CND Ambassador of the Year 2001. CND will never let you down and their packaging and imagery is unrivalled.

I like quite cheesy music like Girls Aloud and Kylie as well as classic soul – Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Teddy Pendergrass.  My taste in movies is just as bad; easy watching “chick flicks” and the odd weepy are always a hit with me, I just love Pretty Woman!!!  
I’m a real foodie and love ANY good food, especially Indian, Italian and chocolate!!!  Wine I’m not so fussy about as long as it’s dry and white!!!  One of the coolest places I have ever been is an Ice hotel in Finland; we sat on chairs made of ice, drinking vodka out of ice glasses while wrapped in reindeer skin – how “cool” is that?

Before I “kick the bucket” I want to fly somewhere, anywhere, with a First Class Return ticket!!!

The Creative Nail Academy Newcastle is situated at The Shiremoor Centre, Earsdon Road, Shiremoor, Tyne & Wear NE27 0HJ.  There is plenty of free car parking just outside and Shiremoor Metro Station is conveniently located just behind us.  The centre has full disability access.  My classes are small, comfortable and friendly with a maximum of 8 students per class; there’s also a great coffee shop next door which sells undoubtedly the best bacon sandwiches in the world!!
