Global Goddess
On Saturday October 17th CND (Creative Nail Design) kicked off their 30th Birthday and Global Distributor Conference by honouring 5 special women they named ‘Global Goddesses’. Gigi Rouse was one of these five names bestowed with this very special honour. Jan Nordstrom-Arnold talked about ‘Early Innovators’ – women who had the courage to bring something new to their country and start an industry where none was present.
In the late 80’s Gigi Rouse bought CND into the UK and through her company ‘Designer Nails’ made it the leading nail company in the UK. Through her determination to make nails an industry (before ‘nails’ was even a section in the Yellow Pages’), and to sell only through education to the professional, she and her team of UK CND Education Ambassadors, have trained over 10,000 students in the art of nail enhancement.
Sweet Squared were very proud to have Gigi honoured and in recognition of her and the four other Global Goddesses, CND created a beautiful Glass Chalice in honour of these outstanding strong women. The ‘Chalice’ will have new pride of place at CND head quarters in their Hall of Fame Reception area.
