9CH - The DemiThe Demi Chocolates are ideal for refreshing mids and ends with a warm natural result, higher levels tone seamlessly with a creamy background. Lower levels beautifully blend gray and create dramatic depth, with gorgeous swirls of chocolate tones to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Every Shade of SweetThe Demi CH family is formulated with a brown-to-tan background color. Triple-numeral designation (/705) indicates a more nuanced tonality, balanced with brown (shades have red warmth vs. gold warmth). Levels 8 and 9 - These lighter tones create an ideal bronde effect. Tone or gloss any blonde for a creamy, balanced warm result. Ideal for blondes looking to add depth or transition into brunette hues.
DIRECTIONS OF USE:
Standard Mixing - Mix The Demi shades in equal parts (1:1 ratio) with Paul Mitchell® Processing Liquid.
Gray Blending - Use any one of these tips or a combination to achieve optimal gray blending:Select shades level 6 and darker.Formulate one level darker than your desired result. For more natural results, use brown-based shades (N, NB, BV or G) alone or in a customized mixture. When formulating The Demi, consider texture, natural level and percentage of gray. The darker, coarser and/or grayer the hair, the less blending you will achieve. Intermixing Shades - Intermixing shades to create levels outside of the shades offered will provide stylists with the most predictability and creativity. Processing Guidelines - Top Coat or First-Time Application - Divide dry hair into four segments. Take fine ¼-inch sections and apply The Demi formula from base to ends. Work through all 4 segments in the same way. Process for up to 20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition. Root Retouch Using The Demi - Divide dry hair into four segments. Take fine ¼-inch sections and retouch all of the regrowth. If the midlengths and ends need a refresh, pull the color through as needed for up to 20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition. Refresh (During a Permanent Color Retouch) - Divide dry hair into four segments. Apply permanent color formula to the regrowth. Take fine, ¼-inch sections and complete all 4 segments. Set a timer based on permanent color directions. With about 20 minutes remaining, take ½-inch sections and apply The Demi formula to the midlengths and ends. Process for remaining time. (Consider porosity of midlengths and ends; adjust timing accordingly.) Rinse the retouch color first before rinsing the midlengths and ends. Then shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition. Tone + Refine
(Pre-lightened) - Divide towel-dried hair into four segments. Take fine, ¼-inch sections and apply The Demi formula to the base area first, then onto the midlengths and ends. If the hair is porous, add an equal amount of The Demi Clear + Paul Mitchell® Processing Liquid to your remaining mixture before pulling it through. Process up to 20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition. Gray Blending - For an initial application, follow the steps for Top Coat or First-Time Application. For retouching gray hair, follow the steps for Root Retouch Using The Demi. Clear Usage Guidelines - Intermixing shades to create levels outside of the shades offered will provide stylists with the most predictability and creativity. Allergy Test - It is recommended to perform an allergy test prior to a color service. especially for sensitive guests. Just like certain foods and materials, hair color products can cause allergic reactions in some people. Conduct the following test 48 hours before application. Allergy Test Steps - Conduct the following test 48 hours before application. Cleanse an area the size of a nickel behind the ear, touching the hairline. Pat dry. Apply the actual color mixture you intend to use, including developer to the test area. Let process for the intended processing time, rinse and pat dry. Do not wash or rinse area for 48 hours. If no reaction has occurred, proceed with process. Do not use hair color if the guest has experienced any signs of irritation.
