Today we’re going to look at the extension to the Alter Ego Italy Technofruit colour range – Blondego. Blondego is specifically designed for blondes, enriched with Brazilian Palm and Inca Inchi Oil and is all about maintaining the lipids in the hair.

Blondego also includes the Diamond Shine Complex; suppleness, extreme shine and strengthening.

Let’s start with the Pure Diamond Lift range which enables you achieve up to 5 levels of lift, depending on the client’s hair type. For finer hair, you’ll definitely be looking at 5 levels of lift. For coarser, thicker hair you’ll be looking at 4 levels, possibly 5. Within the range we have:

/0 which is Natural

/1 which is Ash

/2 which is Iris

9/1 which is Pearl Ash

/7 which is Beige

They are all intermixable and are mixed on a 1:2 ratio. Generally, we’d recommend 12%, with a development time of 50 minutes.

Moving onto the toners! Our Pure Toners consist of: Cipria, Caramel, Platinum and White. They have been designed for depths of a 7 of lighter, however they can be used on deeper shades but the result will be more subtle. 5 or 10 vol (1.5 or 3%) and would mix on a ratio of 1:2 and develop for up to 20 minutes.

For more daring clients… we have the Pastel Toners! The range consists of Cappuccino, Milky Mint, Denim Mauve, Pastel Lilac, Pink Pop and Dusty Copper.

Emma’s Top Tip: “I love using Cappuccino when I’ve highlighted a client’s hair and I’m really happy with the colour but I just want to refine it a little!”
