Celebrities Wearing CND at the Met Gala - Hailey Bieber, Gabrielle Union...Plus More!

One of the biggest fashion events of all time, the Met Gala didn't fail to inspire us with manicures that stole the show. This year brought some serious nail game as iconic nail brand CND™ partnered with Celebrity Nail Artist Eri Ishizu and Thuy Nguyen to design unique nail looks for celebrities including Hailey Bieber, Addison Rae, Gabrielle Union and Ciara.

Hailey Bieber

Thuy Nguyen used one coat of CND™ Shellac™ in Field Fox for Hailey Bieber, which paired perfectly with her stunning dress. “Hailey had the idea of dressing it up with just a few Swarovski crystals at the tips of her nails that tied the look together with the crystals on her dress incredibly.”

Addison Rae

For Addison’s look, Thuy Nguyen used two coats of CND™ Shellac™ in Field Fox and created a thin red line of nail art with a classic red in CND™ Shellac™ in First Love. “I wanted to contour the red to the shape of her nail on only one side to go with the detail on the bustier part of her dress.”

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union’s nail look created by Thuy Nguyen, took inspiration directly from her dress. “After months of sketching, we landed on the look! I prepped an oval shaped nail with CND™ Shellac™. We started with two coats of Negligee and with a liner brush, I used Lady Lilly, Black Pool and Silver Chrome to create the nail art design.”

Ciara

Eri Ishizu built beautiful length to enhance Ciara’s natural nails with CND’s new professional gel enhancement system CND PLEXIGEL™. To pair with Ciara’s fabulous dress, Eri used CND™ Shellac™ in Silver Chrome for an added metallic bold look.

“Silver Chrome was also used for Ciara’s pedicure to complete the look from head to toe. I then finished Ciara’s cuticles with the iconic CND™SolarOil™ to keep her nails and cuticles hydrated!”
